Greek Lamb

I can’t remember where I found this recipe, but I’ve received so many complements on it.

Usually when I make this recipe I steam some broccoli and buy a nice French loaf. I usually slice the French loaf into thin slices, cover it in basil pesto and then toast it in the oven. See my basil pesto recipe here. The sauce of the lamb is divine, believe me your friends will ask you for more.

Okay so I'm not a food-stylist :)
Greek Lamb

Ingredients:
6 Lamb chops
3 Garlic cloves
1 large onion
1 tub of plain fat free yoghurt
Salt and pepper
Maizina or flour (to thicken sauce)

Direction:
  1. Start off by adding the lamb to a warm pan, the lamb is fatty enough so there is no need for extra oil.
  2. Add the coursly chopped onions and finely chopped garlic.
  3. Add salt and pepper.
  4. When the lamb is nice and brown take it off the heat, and place it in a baking tray. Spread it out evenly.
  5. To make the sauce add 2 table spoons of flour/maizina to a bit of milk, stir it into the yoghurt. Pour the sauce over the lamb, make sure everything is covered.
  6. Bake in a 180 degrees oven for 30min.

I love making this lamb when we have friends over. It is such a relaxed dish to eat with friends, because you have to use your hands to dip bread in the delicious sauce. I hope this recipe will also bring you loads of complements and many nights of great conversations!

Oh and remember a nice red wine :)

Happy Cooking!
